Free Risk Management Workshop being offered to Pork Producers

CME Group, Pork Checkoff, and state pork association shave come together to develop this complimentary series of risk management Webinars - online, interactive presentations that give you direct access to industry professionals. Producers can choose from the Introductory or Advanced Tracks based on your experience and educational needs.

The Introductory Track runs from Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 22, 2008.  Each day will have a different topic presented and two different times to choose from for your convenience.  Times for each session are either 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Central Time (CT) plus Q&A or 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. CT plus Q&A.  Archives from the event will be available after 5:00 p.m. CT.

-Monday, May 19 -“Futures and Options: The Basic
-Tuesday, May 20- “Introduction to Hedging
-Wednesday, May 21- “Developing a Marketing Plan”
-Thursday, May 22- “Trading Tools and How to Get Started”

The Advanced Track runs from Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29, 2008.  Each day will have a new topic presented.  All sessions will run from 2:00p.m. – 2:45 p.m. CT plus Q&A.  Archives from the event will be available after 5:00 p.m.  CT.

-Tuesday, May 27- “Roll of the Lender in Risk Management”
-Wednesday, May 28- “Systematic Risk Management”
-Thursday, May 29- “Advanced Hog Margin Mangagement”
